CEO: K’Erica Eberhardt Seven years after beginning work in the Jamaican music industry, K’Erica introduced a group of respected international artists to each other and presented the idea of incorporating the HottaDanFyah Muzik name established in Ghana. She created online meeting spaces and filed articles of incorporation. She explained the different responsibilities for each position to the board of directors and taught the president basic meeting procedures and agenda preparation. With thirty years of experience as a tech, K’Erica aptly constructed a strong Internet presence: As a forerunner in online interpersonal interactive environments, she designed and co-taught university classes with threaded discussions that fostered critical thinking a decade before publicly available social media appeared on the scene. K’Erica then used these understandings to network with an international audience where anecdotal evidence indicates she spearheaded a revival of Reggae music both online and on the U.S. West Coast, in addition to facilitating unification of the Rastafari Nation worldwide. These social media marketing skills helped her build a solid following around the world. In order to form the corporation, she married these skills with a knowledge of contracts, modifying a bylaws boilerplate and presenting it for review and approval to the board of directors. Faced with cultural and language barriers, she created a one-sentence contract to buttress verbal agreements. Early in the formation of the company, she mentored the president during interactions with Jamaica and is currently training the treasurer. K’Erica also brings photography and videography skills to the team. She traveled to Taiwan as a guest lecturer after designing a groundbreaking PowerPoint presentation using photos and sound only... no words... to tell a story. Her talents and creative insight combined to produce the first Facebook video of a foreigner performing live in the United States. She then traveled to Jamaica and taught a protégé how to shoot quality images. Together, they became the first international team to produce online promotions of a live show out of Jamaica. Shortly thereafter, pictures of her in Africa networking with the music scene would capture the world’s attention. K’Erica currently livestreams shows from Sipho’s Jamaica in Chico, California every month. Ten years of PTA leadership, including the formation of the first PTA’s in history to Lake County, six months of business success workshops complimenting her college certificate in Entrepreneurship, and a BA in Legal Studies with experience teaching law all provide insight into the complexities of starting and running a thriving enterprise.
