Tshila is a Researcher, Producer and Presenter with 3 Radio Talk Shows on ZiFM Stereo in Zimbabwe. Namely Our Story, Culture Talk & Backstage. He is a Thinker, Visionary & Artist. Born to a Family that has contributed immensely to Social Development in Zimbabwe & on the continent. Both on his Paternal and Maternal sides. This Family Background initiated and prepared him for a journey in Community Development Programs and Projects, that he has initiated and spearheaded for over two decades. Through Media, Music & Creative Arts Industry. This has seen him work with both Govt & private institutions. From ZBC, Joy Tv, ZTA, Miss Zim Trust, Star FM, Sadc Music Festival to Traditional Chiefs and National Monuments & Museums in Zimbabwe.
His sphere of influence is Research, Skills Exchange & Sustainable Development. A Cultural Activist, he works towards the Evolution & Aligning of Sustainable Cultural and Traditional means into Contemporary practices. Tshila is a Board Member on the Traditional Medical Practitioners Council under the Ministry of Health, where he is on the Research Committee.
He is also the Founder of UpInSmoke Jam Sessions. This is an Alternative Space to Identify, Develop & Package Artists as Viable Brands with Social Responsibility in the Community. It’s a Platform for those in Fine, Visual and Performing Arts to create Meaningful Social & Business Relations through Skills Exchange. A Guitarist & Poet. He has published an untitled anthology & released a few singles.
In 2011 Tshila was the only individual outside the Business and Political Fraternity, who was selected to contribute a special message to form a book paying tribute to former Head of State, CDE R.G Mugabe. Among Heads & Former Heads of States, Corporate Executives, Senior Politicians, Foreign Ambassadors & Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen. Tshila is not a Religious Man. Seeing himself as a Spiritual Being Infinitely in Constant Flux. In his words, 'Spirituality is the Way of Finding God, without challenging my unbelief'. He lives in accordance to the Values of Hunhu/Ubuntu/Botho/Utu: Knowledge, Wisdom and Innerstanding of Life. And the Environment within which it Exists. Embracing the Whole of Knowledge as One Subject. And studying its interrelations.
